LOF (Libby Owens Ford) LOF – Pilkington Energy Advantage Low-E is the best glass for most applications in a northern climate. It has a very high retention rate of the heat in your home in winter and prevents heat gain in summer. Energy Advantage Glass has a higher Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) than Low-E glass designed for southern climates. It provides free winter heat for your home. Since as much as 95% of your energy expense for heating and cooling combined is for heating, this glass is more cost effective than other glass without a high SHGC.
LOE 366 (Cardinal) LoE 366 – Is recommended when cooling costs outweigh heating costs in your energy usage, or where summer discomfort from heat build-up should be an important concern. This is the best glass for most applications in a southern climate. It has a very high reflection rate of the radiant outside heat to prevent heat gain in summer and in winter it still retains radiant once you turn on your furnace! LoE 366 has a lower Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) in order to minimize Solar Heat Gain that results in extra work for your air conditioning unit.
Obscure Glass – Glue Chip Obscure glass provides an effective shield without shutting out the sun. Obscure glass is particularly useful for bathrooms, basements or along walkways. We offer obscure glass in pebbled or glue chip pattern.

Argon Gas Filled Thermal performance is improved by replacing the air between the panes of a window with Argon gas, an inert, slow-moving gas. Argon gas helps prevent heat loss to improve energy efficiency.
Krypton Gas Filled Krypton gas is an inert, slow-moving gas that improves thermal performance. Denser than Argon, Krypton gas does an excellent job of preventing heat loss. Available exclusively in our triple-glazed windows.

This window is known as "Double-Hung Tilt Windows" because it is made up of double panel and double framework to move vertically both down and up and both sashes can be tilt.
A double hung tilt window may be open from the bottom such as a single-hung tilt window, or slide the top sash down for enhanced airflow. The two sashes could be tilted for simple cleaning.

Awning Windows Hinged at the top and opening outward using a durable handle, they are often placed above or below other windows, or above doors. Awning is used on its own as a complement to casement or graphic windows.
Energy Advantage Low-E glass, Sealed units made out of conventional S class super spacer, fusion welded sashes and frames, interior contoured gas stops, exterior beveled framework, durable standard in-wall locking hardware, nesting hardware, and triple weather-stripping.

Our Step by Step Process
Our Reliant Windows & Doors rep will advice regarding which window types will be best for your home and family. For example, if you have young children, you will not want to install windows that are too easy for them to open and fall out of. If you live in an area that has a lot of rain and snowfall, we may recommend awning windows that will still allow airflow during inclement weather. After picking the types of windows you want, our rep will take down the measurements as well.
Our Reliant Windows & Doors rep will also assess the exterior environment and determine the rain exposure conditions and the performance grade for the new windows and doors. The environment inside the home is also assessed. The home will be inspected for water penetration and other performance issues. Replacement product options and the installation methods are discussed.
The installation method must be appropriate for the home’s rain exposure conditions. Once the assessment is completed, you will receive a complimentary and detail quote from our office.
Once the quote is accepted, our Reliant Windows & Doors installation team will schedule a date and time to remove and install the new windows. Before the installation team's arrival, please remove any window coverings and furniture so that the installation team has plenty of room to work.
Our Reliant Windows & Doors installation team will arrive on time with the products that you've ordered. We will then remove the old window and insert the new one. If you have time on the day, feel free to stick around and watch our installation team does their magic.
Once the installation is completed, our installation team will conduct a walkthrough with you to make sure you ae happy with the work done!
